The Sun
Look up into the sky at night
Shining from an enormous height
Are stars galore, but not our sun
It’s hidden when the day is done
Although so near it can’t be seen
It can’t be felt, it has no gleam
Gone away, will it reappear
Oh yes it will as dawn draws near
Slowly but surely the sun will rise
Always does, it’s no surprise
In early morning it’s just awoken
Barely a few words has it spoken
By noon it's shouting with full power
Got lots to say from its celestial bower
By late afternoon the tone is muted
Its strength could definitely be disputed
At sunset she gives one final show
Of reds and yellows, a beautiful glow
Then completely disappears from view
So that nighttime can commence anew
