One idle Sunday I was browsing in K-Mart and saw a book called "Easy Way To Stop Smoking" by Allen Carr. Although I didn't smoke, the book took my interest if only for me to pick it up and scoff at it. However, once I had picked it up and started reading, I decided to buy it, took it home and read it straight through from cover to cover. The ideas in this book took up nearly my every waking minute. So it wasn't surprising that a number of months after I read it, I wrote my first poem to help people quit smoking. When I had finally exhausted the subject of addiction, and it took a few years, I started writing humorous poems. But once I had written them, I needed to perform them, so that is what I am now doing. I also throw in a bit of hula hooping. An interesting fact about hula hooping is that most identical twins, of which I am one, favour hooping in opposite directions.
