The Argument

Did you know that if you smoke then every single day
Your mind and body fight like hell and this is what they say
Uh-oh nicotine's down I'd better top it up
No I beg you, please don't do that I have had enough

You're not serious, I can't believe you don't want this wondrous stuff?
Whoever gave you that idea has made your life most tough
But as I look round me left and right I see smokers puffing with all their might
Their bodies must need the lovely nicotine how else can you explain why they're so keen

I hate to shatter your illusion but this has been a diabolical collusion
Between the very first smoker centuries ago and those around you walking to and fro
Each smoker passes his mistaken belief on that nicotine is needed, but it's just a con
You see them puff in desperation and then you have no hesitation

In believing with utmost conviction that you need nicotine, but it's just fiction
Let's start to use some logic here and then we may begin to lose our fear
If you suck up a poison inside me I'll tell you something and it's for free
I don't want you to KEEP doing that I want you to stop and that is that

I don't want any ifs or buts I hate nicotine with all my guts
You may believe it to be otherwise but I tell the truth, the rest is lies
